Xbox Thanks Players for a Remarkable 2026, Teases Big 2026 Plans
As the year comes to a close, every Xbox player waited for 2025 Wrapped, but it seems the team had other plans. Today, Xbox dropped what I call a “Thank You Note” to all the gamers out there for what it calls a truly remarkable year.
Across Team Xbox, we’ve been creating new worlds, telling fresh stories and bringing legendary franchises back to our screens – and ensuring you can enjoy these experiences on more devices than ever before. For all of us, it truly is more than a game.
According to Xbox, 2025 has been one of the most award-winning and game-packed years in the company’s history. The company notes that fans have enjoyed new stories, immersive experiences, and even returns of some beloved franchises, all while exploring them on consoles, PCs, and other supported devices.

It’s been one of the most game-packed, award-winning years in our history – and none of it would have been possible without you. With 2025 coming to a close, we want to take this opportunity to reflect, relive our favorite moments, and say thank you for joining us to play together this year.
Not to forget, the gaming division of Microsoft will celebrate its 25th anniversary. And it has some big plans for 2026, starting with January Developer Direct, where you can expect the launch of Forza Horizon 6 and Fable.
Besides, Phil Spencer has already teased that the company is working on a first-party Xbox. While we’re still unsure if it will drop next year, we hope some new details pop up. Putting it simply, 2026 is going to be “a memorable one for players, with more to come from many of the studios we’ve seen this year, and many more at Xbox.”
