XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition Console & Wireless Controller Unveiled in Translucent OG Green
Twenty-five years later, Xbox is bringing one of its most iconic looks back from the dead. As part of its quarter-century celebration, Microsoft has unveiled a brand-new Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition console alongside a matching Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition. Both products take direct inspiration from the original Xbox era, wrapping modern hardware in a translucent OG Green design that instantly screams early-2000s nostalgia.
The original Xbox DNA is everywhere
Microsoft says the new collection was designed as a tribute to the players who helped build Xbox over the past 25 years. The centerpiece is a special Xbox Series X featuring a translucent shell that reveals subtle internal details while paying homage to the original console’s signature green aesthetic.
The famous Xbox “X” on top glows green, while special anniversary branding appears throughout the hardware. Microsoft has also hidden several Easter eggs across the console, giving longtime fans a few extra surprises to discover.
Well, there’s a matching controller too. The transparent rear shell exposes the classic Xbox logo inside, while the ABXY buttons retain the color scheme many players grew up with. Even the bumpers reference the black and white buttons from the legendary Duke controller.
Unlike standard Series X models, the Xbox Series X25 will only be available as part of a limited-edition anniversary collection launching this November in select markets. The controller will also be sold separately for players who simply want a piece of the celebration without replacing their console.
