xbox voice reporting feature

Good news for Xbox users everywhere: Xbox has a voice reporting feature now, meaning that you’ll be able to report inappropriate voice chats on Xbox.

Microsoft is taking all the precautions to make the Xbox experience as good as it can be for everybody. After announcing that Xbox will be the home for over 5000 new games currently in development for the console, it seems that the Redmond-based tech giant wants to make sure everyone is safe playing them.

The new feature is going to be live starting this week, and it has backward compatibility with all the games released on the Xbox as a whole, so far, including Xbox 360. If these games offer multiplayer-voice chat, then you’ll be able to use this feature to report inappropriate voice chats.

The feature will be available in Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, and you’ll be able to use it in any multiplayer voice chat. It will be available first in English-speaking countries: the US, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, and you can find the feature in the Xbox Insider Program. Additional languages will be added in time.

With reactive voice reporting, Xbox continues to help players feel protected. Empowering players with easy-to-use tools helps foster togetherness, while improving the greater health of the gaming community on Xbox. With measures like this in place, players can feel confident they are in a safe, welcoming environment.

How does the Xbox voice reporting feature work?

The feature is built in such a way that it can be used without affecting your gameplay. When you notice inappropriate language, you can quickly record and the Xbox will save it into the device for 24 hours.

That’s more than enough time for you to choose if you’re going to report it or not. Microsoft agrees that you have full control over what you record and report. Clips will not be uploaded, they will only be saved until you are ready to deal with them.xbox voice reporting feature

If you choose not to report the clip, then it will be deleted automatically from your Xbox. If you choose to report it, Microsoft has updated the notification features, and it will let you know about what’s next.

Xbox users are already thrilled about this new feature.

As a woman online, I often find myself staying silent in online multiplayer to avoid abuse and harassment. I am excited for features like this that can help give people like me their voices back. Nobody should miss out on interaction with their fellow gamers because they are afraid to speak.
