XBOX X25 Controller Price and Release Date Reportedly Leaked

Microsoft is reportedly preparing the XBOX Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition for XBOX’s 25th anniversary, with a reveal expected during Gamescom 2026.

Microsoft is already rumored to have a big Gamescom announcement, while the company has also revealed its Gamescom 2026 game lineup.

According to Dealabs, Microsoft plans to officially reveal the XBOX Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition during its first Gamescom broadcast on August 26.

XBOX X25 controller release date and price

Pre-orders for the X25 controller reportedly start on August 26, the same day as Microsoft’s first Gamescom 2026 broadcast.

The controller is then expected to launch on October 20, 2026, with the following prices:

• $79.99 in the US
• €79.99 in Europe
• £74.99 in the UK

The X25 will reportedly launch as a limited-edition controller, so stock could be more restricted than with Microsoft’s standard XBOX controllers.

The controller features original ABXY colors, classic green accents, and bumpers inspired by the Duke controller’s black and white buttons. The transparent back and battery door reveal the classic XBOX logo.

Microsoft is also preparing an XBOX Series X25 anniversary console. The console is expected to include the X25 Special Edition controller, although pricing, pre-order details, and a release date remain unknown.
