Microsoft will unveil a new functionality in OneDrive for Web, allowing users to reduce the size of PDF files quickly.

This update, announced in a recent entry to Microsoft 365, offers a compress feature that provides three distinct compression levels, enabling users to tailor file size reduction to their specific needs.

The compression options include higher compression for significant size reduction, moderate compression for balanced results, and minimal compression to preserve quality while saving space.

Here’s what the entry says:

OneDrive for Web now lets you reduce PDF file size with compress feature. You can choose from three different compression levels that best fit your needs.

This feature is ideal for users and admins looking to manage storage more efficiently or share files seamlessly online, mainly where size limitations apply. Microsoft says this enhancement will be added to OneDrive for Web this month.

Speaking of which, OneDrive has also recently changed how users interact with files and folders on the platform. The Redmond-based tech giant has enhanced it with a People View capability, allowing users to work with multiple files simultaneously.
