Mozilla has officially announced what’s next for Firefox. Alongside the release of Firefox 152, the company has also introduced a new public roadmap that offers users an early look at upcoming features raging from AI, privacy, productivity, and performance.

In the official blogpost, Mozilla says the roadmap will give Firefox users a chance to see what’s in development, share feedback earlier, and help influence future updates.

What’s on Firefox roadmap

Although Mozilla previously announced AI kill switch, it isn’t stopping to integrate features in the latest version of Firefox. Mozilla confirmed that a new feature called Quick Answers, which lets users ask questions using their voice and receive AI-generated responses with linked sources directly inside the browser.

The company is also expanding Smart Window, its optional privacy-focused AI browsing experience, which no longer requires a waitlist.
Speaking of privacy, Mozilla plans to bring its built-in VPN to mobile devices and integrate Multi-Account Containers directly into Firefox. Thus apparently eliminates the need for a separate extension.

Other features on the roadmap include customizable keyboard shortcuts, advanced PDF editing tools, and a new Power Saving Mode designed to reduce the impact of resource-heavy tabs on mobile devices.

Firefox 152 is here with some useful features

Meanwhile, Firefox 152 is coming with multiple new features. First of all, Tab Groups are now rolling out to Android as part of Firefox 152 update. This allows users to organize related tabs with custom names and colors. Mozilla has also redesigned Firefox settings to make browser customization easier. In addition, a new Blocked Tracker Widget shows users exactly how many trackers Firefox has stopped in real time.
