NVIDIA Revenue Hits $96.2 Billion as AI Demand Explodes

NVIDIA reported another record-breaking quarter, with revenue reaching $96.2 billion as demand for its AI and Data Center hardware continued to surge.

According to NVIDIA’s second-quarter fiscal 2027 results, revenue increased 106% year-over-year and 18% compared with the previous quarter.

NVIDIA posts $59.7 billion in quarterly profit

NVIDIA’s GAAP operating income reached $63.7 billion, representing a 124% increase from the same period last year.

Net income climbed even faster, reaching $59.7 billion, up 126% year-over-year. NVIDIA also maintained a gross margin of roughly 75%.

Those numbers make the quarter one of the most profitable ever recorded by a US corporation and underline just how dramatically AI spending has transformed NVIDIA’s business.

Data Center now accounts for more than 92% of NVIDIA revenue

The biggest driver remains NVIDIA’s Data Center division.

Data Center revenue reached $89 billion during the quarter, up 117% year-over-year. That means the segment generated more than 92% of NVIDIA’s total quarterly revenue.

NVIDIA expects the growth to continue. The company forecasts approximately $108 billion in revenue for its next fiscal quarter.

Perhaps even more strikingly, NVIDIA achieved its latest results without meaningful shipments to China. Its next-quarter forecast also excludes any Data Center compute revenue from the Chinese market.

That leaves NVIDIA with additional potential upside if its ability to sell high-end AI hardware in China improves.

Gamers are seeing a very different NVIDIA story

While NVIDIA’s financial results continue to break records, PC gamers have faced mounting hardware costs. NVIDIA RTX 50 GPU prices keep rising well beyond MSRP, making the company’s latest graphics cards increasingly expensive for consumers.

NVIDIA is also pushing new graphics technologies. Its RTX Mega Geometry feature will debut in Gears of War: E-Day, bringing more detailed ray-traced geometry to one of Microsoft’s biggest upcoming games.
