26 Games Launch on Xbox September 7—11, Including NHL 27

26 games are coming to Xbox next week, with new releases scheduled between September 8 and September 11.

The Xbox Free Play Days lineup for this weekend has already been revealed, but Xbox players also have a much larger batch of new launches coming shortly afterward.

The lineup includes NHL 27, Halloween: The Game, Mewgenics, HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush, The Royal Writ, and Train Sim World 7. Several games support Xbox Play Anywhere, while The Royal Writ launches directly into Game Pass.

New Games Coming to Xbox Next Week

September 8

Seven games arrive on September 8, covering horror, strategy, simulation, puzzles, and shooters.

• Halloween: The Game – An asymmetrical horror game where you play as Michael Myers or Haddonfield survivors trying to stop him.
• Mewgenics – A turn-based roguelike where you breed cats, build a team, collect abilities, and fight tactical battles.
• Bus Simulator 27 – A bus-driving simulator featuring more than 45 licensed vehicles, including city, electric, and coach buses.
• Culdcept The First Saturn Tribute – A strategy game combining deck-building and board-game mechanics, based on the original 1997 Japanese release.
• Hole in Many – A golf-inspired puzzle game where you move pieces and plan the perfect route to each hole.
• Honeycomb: The World Beyond – A sci-fi exploration and bioengineering adventure set on an alien planet that may hold the key to humanity’s survival.
• SPRAWL Zero – A fast-paced cyberpunk FPS inspired by early-2000s shooters, starring a cybernetically enhanced soldier.

September 9

Four more games follow on September 9, including a new Hot Wheels racer.

• HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush – An open-world arcade racer where you explore four islands, complete events, and challenge powerful Rush Masters.
• Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster – A fantasy action Metroidvania featuring sword combat, exploration, and a war between humans and non-human creatures.
• Cats Around Us: Black Cat – A cozy hidden-object game where you search illustrated comic pages for a sneaky black cat.
• Jewel Match Solitaire X – A fantasy solitaire game with more than 500 levels, alongside Mahjong, Match-2, and several solitaire variants.

September 10

September 10 has the busiest schedule, with 11 games launching on Xbox.

• The Royal Writ – A roguelike deck-builder where cards physically advance across the battlefield and can be permanently lost during a run. It launches directly into Game Pass.
• Train Sim World 7 – A railway simulator featuring realistic locomotives and routes across locations including Yorkshire and Bavaria.
• The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline – A first-person psychological horror game inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy, with a focus on exploration instead of combat.
• BrokenLore: Don’t Lie – A Japanese psychological horror game about isolation, trauma, and a hikikomori whose reality begins to unravel.
• Deconstruction Simulator – A demolition simulator where you dismantle buildings, salvage materials, and sell valuable items for profit.
• Dumb Ways to Build – A physics-based co-op construction game where dangerous jobs and disastrous teamwork form part of the challenge.
• Fresh Tracks – A rhythm-infused skiing action game where you fight enemies and dodge obstacles across a dark fantasy world.
• Lost in Loss – A hand-drawn hidden-object adventure where you investigate why people are mysteriously losing their identities.
• Mole Mine Boom – An underground puzzle game about moving ore carts and using explosives to clear paths through mines.
• RIN: The Last Child – A fantasy action adventure where you craft spells and battle corrupted siblings to restore balance to the world.

September 11

The week closes with four more releases, led by EA Sports NHL 27.

• EA Sports NHL 27 – An ice hockey game featuring all 32 NHL arenas, updated crowds, authentic goal songs, and presentation improvements.
• Dino Odyssey – A platforming adventure where you play as a dinosaur collecting eggs to save your species from extinction.
• Dominus Mahjong Arcana – A relaxing Mahjong puzzle game with 40 levels and gradually increasing difficulty.
• Liquid Cats – A cozy one-line puzzle game where you stretch a cat across a grid while trying to fill every tile.

Xbox is also expanding beyond consoles. The Xbox app is heading to TCL Smart TVs, bringing cloud gaming support to more displays.

Microsoft is also changing how players use the service, as Xbox Cloud Gaming is getting hourly limits alongside a new paid playtime option.
