Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Is Finally Confirmed for 2026

Playground Games has confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 later this year.

When Microsoft announced the game in 2025, it said Forza Horizon 6 would arrive first on Xbox consoles and PC, while the PS5 version would follow later. Until now, Microsoft and Playground Games had not confirmed whether that meant late 2026 or sometime in 2027.

The PlayStation Store page for the game is already live, and PS5 players can add Forza Horizon 6 to their wishlists.

Playground Games confirmed the PS5 release window in a new post covering the British Automotive update.

“Forza Horizon 6 will be releasing on PS5 later this year,” the developer said.

That confirms a 2026 launch, although Playground Games has not announced an exact PS5 release date.

A release date announcement around Tokyo Game Show 2026 could make sense given the timing, but neither Playground Games nor Microsoft has confirmed such plans.

British Automotive update adds Drift Attack

Alongside the PS5 news, Playground Games detailed new content coming to Forza Horizon 6 through the British Automotive update.

The update introduces Drift Attack, a new permanent feature focused on drifting challenges. Players who take part can unlock the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition.

The update also includes a Horizon Stadium takeover, giving players another area to explore and compete in.

Three new cars are joining the Festival Playlist

The British Automotive update also adds three vehicles that are new to the Horizon series through the Festival Playlist:

• 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed
• 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior
• 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR

The new additions expand the game’s selection of British cars while fitting the theme of the latest update.

For PlayStation players, however, the biggest news is confirmation that Forza Horizon 6 will reach PS5 before the end of 2026. The exact launch date remains unknown.
