Acer, Lenovo & ASUS Googlebook Laptops Leak Ahead of Official Pre-Order Date

The new Googlebook laptops are no longer a mystery, as bunch of product image and specs sheet of upcoming devices have been leaked. Just days before pre-orders open on September 21, fresh leaks have revealed hardware and design details for upcoming models from Acer, Lenovo and ASUS.

Acer Googlebook 14 looks like the most flexible option

Acer’s Googlebook 14 has appeared in official renders showing a design closely related to the company’s existing convertible laptops. Not to forget, the design was also teased by the company ahead of IFA 2026. The laptop reportedly uses a 360-degree hinge, allowing it to work as a traditional laptop, tablet, tent or presentation device. The leaked images also show a dark titanium-style chassis and multiple USB-C ports.

Reports from last month have pointed to a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display running at 120Hz, an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for at least one Acer model. Those specifications remain based on leaks rather than a complete official specification sheet.

Lenovo is going after the premium laptop market

Lenovo’s Googlebook 15 has been leaked in full. Reports indicate a 15.3-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED display, Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 512GB of storage. It is also expected to feature a haptic trackpad, facial recognition, fingerprint authentication and two Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The leaked design includes a dedicated Google key, a physical webcam privacy shutter and a broad selection of ports, including HDMI, USB-C, USB-A, an SD card reader and a headphone jack.

ASUS brings its own Googlebook twist

ASUS is taking a slightly different approach with its Googlebook. Newly leaked images from The Mac Observer show a large trackpad, dedicated G key, fingerprint sensor and a multicolor light bar on the lid. The machine also appears to have two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports and a headphone jack. While the one shared by Android Headlines show the device in the silver color option.

Interestingly, the ASUS model shown in the images also has an internal fan and heat-pipe cooling system. That suggests Googlebook hardware may be moving well beyond the lightweight Chromebook, although ASUS has not yet revealed the complete specifications.
