An AI generated image of a person using Google search to find Bing

Due to its faulty deployment, Google AI Overviews quickly became a dangerous tool. It generated erroneous solutions, and some of them were problematic. For example, when asked about the health benefits of bathing with a toaster, it said it is a fun way to unwind and wash away stress. So, users might move to Bing, especially since it has a better AI-based search.

Bing is the second most-used search engine

Other Google competitors might see this AI-generated problem as an opportunity. However, Bing is already the second most-used search engine with a 3.64% market share. Compared to Google’s 90.91%, Microsoft’s percentage is small but significant.

Bing’s AI-based search is superior to AI Overviews. For example, if you type how to make pizza in the search engine, Copilot will give you an AI-generated guide and a few prompt suggestions afterward to enrich your experience.

Sometimes, the AI-powered search will change its format, and you will see the Copilot box on the right side of the screen or at the top of your searches. In addition, you can use the Copilot button to start chatting with the AI directly.

Copilot will give you a source for the answers it provides, and It will be easier for you to check the accuracy of the information. Also, the AI assistant won’t grab any Quora or Reddit answers and present them to you as reliable answers.

Microsoft’s AI-based search engine has additional features

Compared to Google, Bing has additional features. For example, besides Copilot’s help, the AI-based search engine will provide other information related to your query and images. If you search for how to make pizza, it will give you an expanding list of recipes. Also, if you want to know where to find raccoons, it will provide information about their habits, environment, and more.

In addition, Bing’s AI-based search engine features a related search box on the side. Also, Microsoft has a Rewards program that gives points for using Bing. You can donate them to non-profit organizations and get gift cards and sweepstakes.

Unfortunately, even if Bing has a better AI-based search, people have a negative perspective of the search engine. After all, it used to provide inaccurate answers. On top of that, Microsoft keeps trying to force Bing onto us.

Ultimately, Microsoft could seize some of Google’s market share with its Bing AI-based search engine. However, before doing that, the company has to find a method to change our perspective about it and redirect us to it without overdoing it. After all, it is a great opportunity to make us like it.

Will you try using the Bing search engine? Let us know in the comments.
