AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE May Finally Launch Globally
No official global launch confirmation yet
AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE could soon expand beyond China and nearby markets. A newly surfaced Sapphire retail box suggests the graphics card may be preparing for a wider international launch, even though AMD has not officially confirmed global availability yet.
According to reports from VideoCardz, Sapphire packaging for the RX 9070 GRE appeared with full English branding instead of the Chinese-only naming used on regional product pages. The box features the Sapphire PULSE branding alongside AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE labeling, which points toward possible global retail plans.
Sapphire packaging hints at a wider launch
The retail packaging reportedly differs from Sapphire’s China-focused RX 9070 GRE branding. Previous GRE launches mainly targeted the Chinese market, but the use of international branding suggests Sapphire may already be preparing inventory for other regions.
AMD has used a similar strategy before. Earlier GRE graphics cards launched in China first before later appearing in wider global markets.
RX 9070 GRE already spotted on U.S. storefronts
The graphics card has already shown up on several U.S. retail platforms. Listings on Newegg mention Sapphire PULSE and PURE RX 9070 GRE variants.
However, the listings currently appear tied to a China-based third-party marketplace seller rather than official U.S. distribution channels. That means the card is not necessarily part of AMD’s official North American rollout yet.
Another appearance came through a Walmart marketplace listing for a MOGPC gaming desktop. The system description mentioned a Radeon RX 9070 GRE 12GB GPU, although the listing also included unrelated typos, raising the possibility that it was placeholder or early database information.

Sapphire PULSE model details
Sapphire’s China-listed PULSE RX 9070 GRE carries the product code 11354-05-78.
The card reportedly features:
- Up to 2790 MHz boost clock
- 2220 MHz game clock
- 18Gbps memory speed
- 220W board power rating
The specifications position the RX 9070 GRE between AMD’s mainstream and higher-end Radeon offerings, potentially giving buyers another mid-to-upper-range RDNA option if the card launches globally.
In other AMD news, the company recently introduced new Ryzen PRO X3D processors, including the Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D and Ryzen 7 PRO 9755X3D. Those launches followed reports surrounding the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2.
