Azul, the Brazilian Airline, partnered with Microsoft to launch AzulGPT, an AI platform that uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and Avanade. The AI will increase productivity and deal with processing and data analysis tasks. Also, it will follow the security and privacy rules of the company.

How does AzulGPT improve work efficiency?

AzulGPT greatly helped the Airline company improve its productivity. Now, tasks that used to take a few weeks, such as categorizing Customer feedback and NPS analyses, take a few minutes.

The AI tool facilitates the integration and sharing of information between different teams. The crew members can use the AzulGPT platform to ask questions about the programs and events happening within the company.

The AI from Azul also assists employees with the creation of materials, campaigns, and forms. This feature allows them to save time and focus on more important aspects such as strategic planning and development.

According to Felipe Starling, the airline’s IT Director, Azul is one of the first airlines to have their AI. So, he looks forward to receiving internal feedback and service metrics about AzulGPT. Also, Roberto Sória, vice president of Customer Success at Microsoft Brazil, says the AI platform runs in a closed environment to meet compliance, protection, and security requirements.

What are the challenges of having a custom-made AI?

There are a few challenges that come with AzulGPT. For example, the AI has to be periodically updated to maintain the best security practices and protect the company’s data.

In addition, Azul needs to train its employees on how to use AI, and the process can be time-consuming. On top of that, updating and maintaining it can become costly.

In a nutshell, Azul is one of the first Brazilian Airlines with a personal AI platform. AzulGPT increases the performance of employees and speeds up various processes. Also, it assists crew members to do easier data transfers across different sectors. Besides, the AI helps them create media content and categorize Customer feedback and NPS analyses.
