Christopher Judge Reportedly Reveals Major God of War Trilogy Remake Changes

Reports around the God of War Trilogy Remake have started popping up lately on the internet, with new reports suggesting that the game may include bigger changes than expected. Well, new details about the game have now slipped during a now-deleted YouTube livestream (via Wccftech).

In an interview with YouTuber Fuzhpuzy at Fan Expo Vancouver last weekend, Christopher Judge, the current voice of Kratos, reportedly revealed that he will not voice Kratos in the God of War Trilogy Remake. In his place, TC Carson, who portrayed the character in the original Greek saga, is said to return. The details are in line with what many fans already assumed.

One of the interesting claims by Judge that is making headlines is that the trilogy would feature a new combat system built with modern technology. If accurate, this suggests Santa Monica Studio may move away from the original PS2-era hack-and-slash style and implement mechanics closer to current-generation design.

Judge also reportedly hinted that fans would hear more “late Summer,” implying a possible announcement window. That timing stands out, especially following the recent PlayStation State of Play. At a time when legacy franchises are being rebuilt rather than simply remastered, a redesigned Greek saga would fit industry trends.

That being said, there’s no word on how extensive these changes may be or whether this information was meant to surface yet.

If this remake is real and modernized, will fans welcome the overhaul, or would they prefer the originals preserved as they were? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
