Copilot Real Talk Goes Global as Microsoft Pushes More Human-Like AI

Copilot continues to evolve as a core Windows 11 feature, and after Microsoft recently patched a Copilot-related vulnerability, the company has now started rolling out a notable new capability worldwide.

According to WindowsLatest, Microsoft has begun expanding Copilot’s Real Talk feature globally, after limiting it to U.S. users during earlier testing. The rollout marks a shift toward making Copilot feel less like a standard assistant and more like a conversational AI companion inside Windows 11.

Copilot Real Talk rolls out globally

Real Talk focuses on creating a more human-like conversation experience with Microsoft Copilot. Instead of short, utilitarian answers, the feature adapts its tone, depth, and reasoning style based on the ongoing conversation.

Users can adjust attributes such as response depth (standard or compressed) and writing style (standard or casual). When a session starts, Copilot also tries to factor in what it already knows from previous interactions to shape replies.

Microsoft positions Real Talk as a way to stimulate discussion, challenge assumptions, and encourage deeper thinking. In this mode, Copilot may offer alternative viewpoints or guide the conversation rather than simply answering a prompt. Users can also get insight into how Copilot reasons when Real Talk is active.

Microsoft tests video creation and broader AI features

Alongside the Real Talk expansion, the report notes that Microsoft is testing a generative “create a video” feature for Copilot. This experiment signals broader ambitions beyond text-based chat, as Microsoft pushes Copilot toward richer multimedia creation tools.

These updates form part of Microsoft’s wider AI strategy to stay competitive with platforms like Google Gemini and ChatGPT, both of which continue to add conversational and creative features.

The push comes during a turbulent period for Copilot’s public image. The assistant recently appeared in a controversy involving UK police use, and investor sentiment around Microsoft’s AI-heavy strategy has shown strain, with the company’s stock reportedly down 10% over the past few months.

Even so, the global rollout of Real Talk suggests Microsoft plans to double down on making Copilot more engaging, conversational, and central to the Windows experience.
