The Redmond-based tech giant announced in a recent blog post that Copilot is now capable of generating videos in just a few seconds thanks to a new integration with Microsoft Clipchamp.
The tool is called Visual Creator. It’s powered by Clipchamp and is currently only available to Commercial users with a Copilot license. Users insert a prompt and wait for it to generate a video, which can be further edited in Clipchamp if needed.
Video creation, powered by Clipchamp in Visual Creator is currently only available to Commercial users (Entra ID) with a Copilot license. This feature allows users to quickly generate a first video draft with the help of AI, before moving into the Clipchamp editor to utilize a full suite of editing tools. This integration streamlines the creative process and empowers users to produce quality videos more efficiently and creatively.
The Redmond-based tech giant says using the Visual Creator should be easy. First, you provide it with a prompt, and then Copilot generates a script for you. Then, it searches for the most relevant stock footage in the Clipchamp library. Finally, it composes the video with music, text overlays, and transitions. Then, it brings a preview for users to check out.
The preview can be further edited and personalized in Clipchamp.
The Redmond-based tech giant advises organizations to let product teams, project, HR, Learning and Development, and even sales teams create videos for onboarding, training, presentations, and so on.
It’s important to know that the Visual Creator doesn’t generate images. Instead, it uses stock footage. Microsoft updated Clipchamp’s media library with 5 million images a while ago, so it’s safe to say there should be suggestive visuals for each prompt.
