Any audio device connected to the PC has a wide array of settings that directly affect its performance. For optimal results, you may have to disable a few in Windows 11, Handsfree Telephony being the common one.

As reported by our WR software experts, the feature often conflicts with the audio output of games and voice chat applications, say Discord.

What is hands-free telephony?

Handsfree Telephony allows Windows to effectively manage the phone call functionality of audio devices connected via Bluetooth. Remember, it only works when the device supports hands-free functionality.

The feature splits the sound profile into two, significantly affecting the audio playback.
