Why can’t I log into my Epic Games account?
1. The Epic Games servers may be down
Before trying any fixes, you should first head over to the Epic Store website and check the server status. Epic Games performs frequents server maintenance which they usually announce beforehand.
More so, the website also lets users know whether there are any unexpected issues that caused the servers to shut down.
2. The credentials you are using are invalid
If some time has passed since you’ve last used your Epic Games account, there is a chance you may have forgotten the credentials. Simply perform a password recovery and reset your password to something you can easily remember.

3. You may be logged in from another PC
Some gamers use multiple PCs to play games from the Epic Games Launcher, such as those visiting Internet Cafes. This is a known issue, so make sure you log out of all PCs before trying to log into a new one.
4. You recently changed your password
If you recently performed a password reset or a password change, it can take some time until the changes take effect. As such, wait a bit longer before trying to log in again.
5. Your Epic Games launcher may be faulty
If this is the case, consider re-installing it:
- Press Windows + R
- Type in appwiz.cpl
- Select Epic Store Launcher
- Right-click it and choose Uninstall
- Download a fresh new copy from the Epic Games website.
