How can I fix ERROR_IP_ADDRESS_CONFLICT2?

Before trying other solutions, ensure that you have the latest drivers and Windows Updates installed. This will ensure that there are no compatibility issues.

1. Ensure that the device is obtaining the IP address automatically

  1. Press the Windows key + R and enter control.

  2. Next, select Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Click on your Internet connection. It should be on the right side of the window.
  4. A network status window will appear. Click on Properties.

  5. Next, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.

  6. Ensure that Obtain an IP address automatically option is selected.

  7. Optional: If you want to use a static address, change the IP address to a different value instead.
  8. Save changes.

2. Reinstall wireless adapter

  1. Before we start, ensure that you have the latest drivers for your wireless adapter available. You can download the setup file from your adapter manufacturer’s website. Keep the setup file, since you might need it.
  2. Press the Windows key + X and choose Device Manager.

  3. Locate your wireless adapter driver on the list. Right-click it and choose Uninstall.

  4. Select Attempt to remove the driver for this device if available and then click on Uninstall.

  5. After that, click on Action and Scan for hardware changes.

  6. Once the adapter is detected and installed, check if the problem is resolved.
  7. If the adapter can’t be installed, use the setup file you previously downloaded to install the missing drivers.

ERROR_IP_ADDRESS_CONFLICT2 is usually a configuration error, and it can be fixed by using a different IP address.
