Forza Horizon 6 Confirms Full Cross-Save Support Across All Platforms
Forza Horizon 6 launches on May 19, and after revealing its initial car roster, the developers have now confirmed a major first for the series. The official social media account has announced full cross-save support across every supported platform.
According to Windows Central, cross-save will work across Xbox consoles, Xbox on PC, Steam, and PlayStation. This marks the first time a Forza Horizon title offers complete progression sharing across Xbox, PC, Steam, and PlayStation ecosystems.
Forza Horizon 6 will have full cross-save support across all platforms
With cross-save enabled, players can jump between platforms without losing progress. The shared data includes unlocked and purchased cars, traded vehicles, race progress, player level, and in-game currency.
Cars unlocked on one platform, such as Steam, will remain available when switching to another platform, including PlayStation 5 or handheld systems like Xbox Ally X. This approach gives players flexibility to move between console, PC, and portable setups.
DLC transfer details remain unclear
Playground Games has not yet confirmed whether DLC purchases will transfer between platforms in the same way as core progression. While cross-save ensures access to cars and progression, DLC entitlements may still remain platform-specific at launch.
In addition to cross-save, Playground Games has confirmed full cross-play multiplayer. Players on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation will race together once the PlayStation version launches later this year, further unifying the player base.
For players less interested in racing, Nintendo is scheduled to host a Direct presentation later today, which should bring updates on upcoming Switch titles and announcements.
