GRAVHOUNDS (Game Preview) Releases on Xbox Game Pass Today
Xbox Game Pass has a new survival challenge game landing today, which involves bio-engineered dogs, hostile planets, and aliens hungry for trouble. The game we are referring to you is GRAVHOUNDS, which is launching in preview with Xbox Play Anywhere support. We talked about the same in this week’s Game Pass releases list.
GRAVHOUNDS mixes base building with high-risk extraction
Developed by independent studio Octopus Panic, GRAVHOUNDS supports one to four players. You can head into dangerous alien environments alone or team up with friends to gather resources and defend your operation.
The catch is that staying longer brings better rewards, but the alien swarm becomes increasingly dangerous. Players must decide when to push for more materials and when to escape with their collected loot.
Interestingly, GRAVHOUNDS also puts physics at the center of its gameplay. Its Grav Beam lets players fling objects across battlefields and send enemies flying. You can also deploy turrets, generators, and fabricators while extending pipelines across hostile terrain. These systems make resource gathering more than a simple collection task. Players must manage supplies, protect their base, and keep an escape route available before the situation gets out of hand.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers can jump in today
GRAVHOUNDS arrives day one with Xbox Game Pass, while Xbox Play Anywhere support allows compatible purchases to work across Xbox consoles and Windows PCs. The game is also launching through Steam Early Access on November 2.
Do note that this game is releasing in preview, which means Octopus Panic plans to develop GRAVHOUNDS alongside player feedback, with additional missions, enemies, upgrades, and progression expected during Early Access. This approach usually helps game studios refine its systems and co-op balance before the full launch.
