After several delays and frustrations from the community, it seems that Grand Theft Auto VI is finally entering its marketing phase. Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Rockstar Games will begin GTA 6’s marketing rollout this summer, while once again reaffirming the game’s November 19, 2026, release date.

This gives the game just enough time to join the The Game Awards 2026, as its date has been set.

Rockstar Confirms GTA 6 Marketing Starts This Summer, Release Still on Track

The update comes from Take-Two’s Q3 FY2026 earnings report, where the publisher struck a notably confident tone around its upcoming slate. In the earnings release shared with investors, Take-Two said Rockstar’s launch marketing for GTA 6 is scheduled to begin this summer, signaling that internal timelines are holding steady after multiple past delays.

Speaking to IGN alongside the earnings report, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said he feels “very good” about the current release date. He also acknowledged that confidence increases as marketing milestones approach, noting that teams typically do not commit to major promotional beats unless development is progressing as planned.

So far, Rockstar has released two cinematic trailers for GTA 6. They introduced dual protagonists Duval and Lucia Caminos, alongside the fictional state of Leonida and a modern reimagining of Vice City. Despite the lack of gameplay footage, anticipation remains high, with the game widely viewed as a potential Game of the Year contender.
