GTA 6 Official Price Set for $79.99, Premium Edition Costs $99.99
Months of rumors, retailer leaks, placeholder listings, and endless debates, Rockstar Games has officially revealed how much Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) will cost, putting an end to speculation that the game could become the industry’s first $100 standard edition blockbuster.
The number many players were waiting for is $79.99. That’s the price Rockstar has announced for the Standard Edition of GTA 6 (previous rumor), while those wanting extra digital goodies will need to spend $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition.
Rockstar finally puts GTA 6 price debate to rest
The announcement arrives just as pre-orders begin rolling out across major storefronts. Over the past week, various retailer listings sparked fears that GTA 6 could launch with a triple-digit price tag, especially after several placeholder pages appeared online with aggressive pricing.
Those concerns can now be put to bed. While GTA 6 is still more expensive than many current-generation releases, it falls below the worst-case scenario some fans had braced for.
Rockstar is also attaching a pre-order incentive to both editions. Anyone who purchases the game before November 20, 2026 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack. The bonus includes the classic ’55 Vapid Stanier sedan, a garage located on Ocean Beach, retro-themed outfits and hairstyles, plus a weapon skin inspired by Tommy Vercetti’s iconic shirt.
Ultimate edition brings extra digital content
Players opting for the $99.99 Ultimate Edition will receive an exclusive collection of in-game items. Rockstar says the bundle includes unique vehicles, matching revolvers for the game’s protagonists, additional weapon customization options, clothing items, and more digital extras.
Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
