Halo Studios has finally broken its silence. In the latest Halo Waypoint blog, the Xbox-owned developer confirmed it’s planning a special reveal for the 2025 Halo World Championship, which kicks off October 24 in Seattle.

Since the release of Halo Infinite, the rebranded studio—formerly known as 343 Industries—has mostly stuck to supporting Infinite and The Master Chief Collection.

But now, it’s entering the conversation around future games. “Speculation is always fun,” the team wrote, “but if you want the official scoop on what Halo Studios has been working on, you won’t want to miss this year’s Halo World Championship.”

This won’t be the first time the studio uses the event for a big announcement. At the 2024 championship, fans were treated to a teaser hinting that multiple projects were in development, although none were close to release.

That’s when the studio also confirmed it had switched to Unreal Engine 5 and stepped away from its in-house Slipspace Engine, marking a notable tech shift for the franchise.

Now with a rebrand under its belt and Halo’s 25th anniversary approaching in 2026, excitement is building. A remaster or brand-new title seems likely, but fans will have to wait until October to get a clearer picture. Until then, Halo Studios is keeping the details close, though clearly, something big is coming.
