After more than a decade of dominance by Minecraft, the sandbox genre finally sees a serious new contender. Hytale officially enters Early Access today, January 13, 2026, following years of development, delays, and growing community anticipation.

When is Hytale’s Early Access release date?

As reported by Vice, Hytale’s Early Access release marks a major milestone for the project, which blends sandbox creativity with RPG mechanics, structured progression, and modding support. The game goes live globally at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET.

Launch times vary by region. Players in the UK can jump in at 3:00 PM GMT, while most of Europe gains access at 4:00 PM CET. Due to time zone differences, the release arrives later in parts of Asia-Pacific, with availability starting around midnight JST in Japan and 2:00 AM AEST in Australia.

How to get Hytale Early Access

Players must purchase one of three available editions directly from Hytale’s official website. The Standard Edition starts at $19.99, while the Supporter and Cursebreaker editions include additional perks and bonuses. After completing the purchase, users need to download the Hytale Launcher and link their account to access the game at launch.

To do that, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Hytale website.
  2. Click on the Pre-purchase button.
  3. Select the version you want.
  4. Download and install the game.

The development team has already cautioned players to expect heavy server traffic. With more than one million players projected to join Early Access, login queues and temporary server delays remain possible during launch day.

In other gaming news, ARC Raiders has surpassed 12 million copies sold, while a new Resident Evil Showcase is scheduled later this week. Meanwhile, Quarantine Zone: The Last Check has also officially launched, giving players even more to explore in early 2026.
