Intel Releases New Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Drivers With Stability Improvements
Intel has been rolling out several updates recently, including new Core Ultra processors and Arc GPU improvements. Now, the company is back with a more routine release focused on connectivity.
Intel has released new Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers (version 24.30.1) for 64-bit versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11, bringing stability improvements, performance tweaks, and a notable change for older hardware.
Improved stability and broader hardware support
The latest driver update supports a wide range of Intel wireless adapters, including newer Wi-Fi 7 models such as BE200, BE201, BE202, BE211, and BE213. It also covers popular Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 6 chipsets like AX210, AX211, AX411, AX101, AX201, and AX203, along with several older Wireless-AC adapters.
With version 24.30.1, Intel focuses on improving overall connection reliability. Users may notice fewer drops, better consistency, and smoother performance across supported devices.
Performance tweaks and regulatory updates
Intel has also included functional and security updates in this release. While the company did not highlight major feature additions, the update delivers small performance improvements and fixes tied to vendor-specific features.
In addition, the driver introduces regulatory updates for regions including Oman, Brazil, and Pakistan. These changes ensure compliance with local wireless standards and requirements.
AX200 support has been officially removed
One of the most important changes in this release is the removal of support for the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 adapter. Since the hardware is now discontinued, Intel no longer includes it in newer driver packages.
Users still running AX200-based systems will need to stick with older driver versions, as future updates will not support this adapter.
Bluetooth update remains minimal
Alongside the Wi-Fi driver, Intel also released the Bluetooth driver version 24.30.1. However, the company did not provide a detailed changelog for this update.
It includes general functional improvements, but no major new features or notable fixes were highlighted.
A small but useful update
While this release may not be as exciting as Intel’s recent hardware announcements, it delivers practical improvements for everyday users. Those experiencing connection instability or performance issues should consider updating.
For users with supported hardware, this update offers a simple way to improve network reliability. However, AX200 owners will need to plan around the end of support moving forward.
