KB5053654

Microsoft has rolled out Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.5160, KB5053654, to the Beta Channel, bringing exciting updates and improvements. Here’s a closer look at the highlights:

This new feature is designed to enhance accessibility for users who rely on the Narrator. It allows users to access a history of spoken content and follow live transcriptions of the Narrator’s speech.

Users can copy the last phrase using keyboard shortcuts like the Narrator key + Control + X. The narrator key + Alt + X opens a speech recap window, which displays the previous 500 strings the Narrator spoke.

This feature is handy for Assistive Technology trainers, teachers of visually impaired students, and hard-of-hearing professionals. It ensures that users can easily refer back to spoken hints, error codes, or other vital information without repeating tasks.

Elsewhere, KB5053654 allows users to edit pictures directly in the Windows share window without having to open an additional app. Users can crop, rotate, apply filters, and even change resolutions. The capability currently supports the following formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .dib, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .bmp.
