Microsoft published a troubleshooting guide for Microsoft Store Try that again 0x80131500 error

If you’re using Windows, you are probably familiar with the 0x80131500 error in Microsoft Store, also known as Try that again error. It’s older than Windows 11 (first spotted in 2019) and still occurs randomly. Before you get too excited, know that Microsoft didn’t actually fix it.

However, as Tech Radar has spotted, the software giant published a troubleshooting guide to fix this issue. So, what’s the fix? Microsoft has proposed four ways to tackle this error:

  1. Reset the Microsoft Store app: This can help clear out any issues and give the app a fresh start.
  2. Check for updates: Make sure your Microsoft Store app is up-to-date to avoid any compatibility issues.
  3. Run the Microsoft Store troubleshooter: This is available for Windows 10 users and can help identify and fix problems.
  4. Update your internet’s TLS settings: Ensure that TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 are enabled in your Internet Properties to avoid any security protocol issues.

So, resetting the Microsoft Store app is the top solution to fix the Try that again error message. To do that, press Win + R, type or paste wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

If you’re still having trouble after trying these fixes, you can always reach out to Microsoft Support for more help. Hopefully, Microsoft will find a way to eliminate the problem completely, not only issue troubleshooting recommendations.
