Microsoft Intune Windows 11

Windows 11 is improving its compliance policy for device health, thanks to a new update to Microsoft Intune coming later this year.

According to a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, this update adds five new hardware checks specifically for Windows 11. They include:

  • Memory Integrity and Access Protection: These protect your device from harmful attacks.
  • Firmware Protection: This secures the software that controls your device’s hardware.
  • Virtualization-Based Security: A method that isolates sensitive data to protect it.
  • Early Launch Antimalware Protection: This ensures that antivirus tools are active as soon as your device starts.

Here’s what the entry says:

This will enhance the Windows compliance policy – device health by adding five additional hardware attestation settings specific to Windows 11 using advanced platform security features like Memory Integrity and Access Protection, firmware protection, virtualization-based security, and Early Launch Antimalware protection.

However, it will be released at the end of the year, in 2025.

Waht does this mean for organizations? Well, a more secure environment. Overall, it means better security and safety for all devices connected to a network. Let’s not forget that Microsoft products and services, including Windows 11, are some of the most targeted by hackers. 7-Zero Day vulnerabilities were addressed this month, alone.
