Microsoft has released its June 2025 update for Office products, covering a wide range of security and non-security fixes across Office 2016, SharePoint, and Office Online Server. These updates are part of the company’s regular Patch Tuesday rollout and are designed to patch vulnerabilities and improve reliability in core Office applications.
Microsoft has pushed updates for Word (KB5002710), Excel (KB5002735), PowerPoint (KB5002689), Outlook (KB5002683), and Office 2016 (KB5002616 and KB5002730). Each patch is linked to a Knowledge Base (KB) article that outlines the specific fixes, most of which relate to improving security and addressing potential exploit risks.
Admins should install these patches to maintain a secure environment and avoid any exposure to known threats.

SharePoint Server users—especially those running Subscription Edition (KB5002736), 2019 (KB5002729), and 2016 (KB5002732)—will also find critical updates available. Microsoft has included new builds for both core servers and associated language packs (2016 and 2019). These help resolve backend issues and enhance server stability for collaborative environments.
Office Online Server (KB5002728) and SharePoint Workflow Manager (KB5002737) aren’t left out either, with updates focused on security improvements.
Microsoft strongly recommends that system administrators review the official documentation, identify applicable updates, and install them as soon as possible. Keeping these services up-to-date is key to ensuring smooth operation and safeguarding against modern attacks.
