Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Dev Channel Update KB5077202
Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26300.7760 (KB5077202) to the Dev Channel, following several recent Dev updates such as KB5074178 and KB5074157. This build closely matches the KB5077201 update that previously arrived in the Beta Channel, bringing the same features and fixes to Dev testers.
KB5077202 in Dev Channel, here’s what’s new
As with other recent Insider builds, the update rolls out gradually and is available only to users who have enabled the option to receive the latest updates.
Emoji 16.0 lands in the Dev Channel
This build introduces Emoji 16.0 support in Windows 11. Microsoft adds a small curated set of new emojis, with one emoji representing each major category.

The newly added characters include Face with Bags Under Eyes, Fingerprint, Root Vegetable, Leafless Tree, Harp, Shovel, and Splatter. All new emojis appear in the standard Windows emoji panel and require no additional setup.
Pan and tilt controls for supported cameras
Windows 11 now includes native pan and tilt controls for supported cameras. Microsoft integrates these controls directly into the Settings app, reducing the need for third-party camera utilities.

Users can access the new options by opening Settings, navigating to Devices & drivers, selecting Cameras, and then opening the basic settings page for the chosen camera.
Visual and performance improvements
KB5077202 also delivers several under-the-hood refinements aimed at improving responsiveness and visual stability. Microsoft reports smoother behavior when the taskbar is set to automatically hide at the bottom of the screen, along with reduced desktop icon flashing that previously caused performance slowdowns.
The update also improves responsiveness for Windows Security credential pop-up dialogs, making authentication prompts feel faster and more consistent.
If you’re already enrolled in the Dev Channel, KB5077202 is available now through Windows Update and brings the Dev build in line with the latest Beta Channel improvements.
