Not all new Windows users see the greeting, though.

After unveiling and removing a fake guide to uninstall Edge in what was one of the Redmond-based tech giant’s best ads in recent memory, Microsoft has found another way to get users to choose Edge over the other browsers.
Spotted by tech enthusiast @xenopanther, Microsoft is now showing a Welcome to Windows 11 webpage that is automatically opened in Edge to those who just performed a clean installation of the operating system.
The greeting card features information that is usual from Microsoft: the introduction of Edge, Microsoft Store, and Windows 11’s various capabilities. To be honest with you, this is the advertising Microsoft should use.
Instead of plastering Edge ads all over the place like the company is used to doing, Microsoft should focus on this kind of ad: being shown once when new Windows users access the operating system for the first time.
It’s worth noting that all new Windows users have been getting this greeting, so it must be recent, and it’s gradually rolling out. Expect to be transported to Microsoft Edge and offered an introductory tutorial to all Microsoft products and services.
