Minecraft LIVE March 2026: Date, Time, and What to Expect
Minecraft fans are in for a treat in a few days’ time. Mojang has announced that the first Minecraft LIVE of 2026 will take place on March 21 at 1:00 PM ET. You can catch everything announced on the day by tuning in to the game’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as on Minecraft.net.
The company has also shared a trailer that hints at new versions of baby mobs, upcoming game drops, and behind-the-scenes content, along with some “awesome guest” appearances and other surprises.
What to Expect from Minecraft LIVE 2026?
While Mojang hasn’t revealed what it will unveil at the event for obvious reasons, fans can likely expect the first major game drop of 2026. The event may also confirm the release date for the Tiny Takeover update. If the rollout mirrors previous years, the new content could arrive very shortly after the presentation, possibly before the end of March.
The Tiny Takeover game drop, first teased in January, has been available for testing via Java snapshot and Bedrock betas. It brings updated versions of baby mobs, making the Overworld cuter than ever. Mojang is also adding a golden dandelion, a craftable item that prevents baby mobs from aging, giving players more control over their in-game farms.
How Long Will Minecraft LIVE 2026 Last?
Minecraft LIVE usually lasts between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on how many updates Mojang has to share with fans. To give you an idea, last year’s March Minecraft LIVE streamed for nearly 27 minutes, so you can expect something similar this year as well. If there are plenty of updates from Mojang, which is likely, the live event could run longer.
