Paint 3D doesn't show export option

What can I do if Paint 3D shows no export option?

1. Troubleshoot Windows apps

  1. Press the Win+X keys, and select Settings.

  4. Scroll down and select the option Microsoft Store Apps.
  5. Click Run the troubleshooter and wait for the process to complete.

2. Use a keyboard shortcut to open the export menu

In the case of some users, pressing the Alt+F keys on their keyboard opened the export menu, and they were able to export their project normally.

Check to see if this is also the case for you. If the menu opens, but you still can’t see an Export option, follow the next method.

3. Update your Windows 10 OS

  1. Press the Cortana search box, type Update, and choose the option Windows Update Settings.windows update - Paint 3D no export option
  2. Inside the window that opens, please click the Check for updates button.
  3. Wait for the process to complete, and install any available updates for your system.
  4. Restart your PC if requested to do so.

This error could be caused by a Windows 10 update, or the improper download and install process of the update. For this reason, it is recommended that you try searching for any updates.

4. Remove and then re-add Microsoft Paint 3D

To uninstall:

  1. Press the Win+X keys, and select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
  2. Copy-paste this command and press Enter: Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.MSPaint | Remove-AppxPackage PowerShell command - Paint 3D no export option

To reinstall:

  1. Inside the PowerShell (Admin) window, type the following command: Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.MSPaint | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml”}
  2. Press Enter to run the command, and wait for the process to complete.
