Popular Windows 11 App FluentFlyout Adds ARM64 Support and Multi-Monitor Flyouts In Latest Update

FluentFlyout is a popular, free, open-source Windows application that replaces the default system pop-ups (flyouts) for media, volume, and other controls. The app was launched last year and has since gotten all the love it deserves from the Windows 11 community. With its latest update, the app isn’t just more improved, but also has become a lot more flexible. Guess what? It’s now ready for a whole new class of Windows PCs.

The latest update to FluentFlyout brings ARM64 support, meaning the app will now run properly on ARM-based Windows devices, including Snapdragon X Elite-powered laptops and upcoming ones powered by Snapdragon X-series. As Windows on Arm is starting to get more mainstream, the new update makes a lot more sense.

However, this release isn’t just about ARM64 support. FluentFlyout users can now choose which monitor displays flyouts and the Taskbar Widget. For multi-monitor setups, this is one of the biggest updates. Flyouts no longer feel locked to a single screen, with everything behaving more predictably.

The Taskbar Widget itself also received a few improvements. You can now enable manual custom padding, which is helpful if you’re running a customized or non-standard Windows taskbar. Hover tooltips have been added as well, allowing you to see the full song title and artist name when text gets cut off in the widget or Media Flyout. Well, there are plenty of changes. We’ve added the full changelog of the FluentFlyout Update v2.5.0.
