Pragmata Release Date Moves Up, Now Scheduled for Apri 17

Capcom’s long-awaited sci-fi adventure Pragmata is arriving earlier than expected. The company has moved the release date up by a week, suggesting growing confidence in its upcoming title. The announcement came at yesterday’s Capcom Spotlight showcase.

Capcom moves Pragmata release one week earlier

The game was originally scheduled for April 24. However, the game will now release on April 17, 2026. That means players will get their hands on Capcom’s new IP slightly sooner across major platforms. Pragmata will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The game marks one of Capcom’s most ambitious new projects in years. It is a sci-fi action adventure set on a lunar research station in a near-future world. Players follow astronaut Hugh and an android girl named Diana as they work together to survive hostile AI systems and find a way back to Earth.

Per Capcom, the gameplay focuses on cooperation between the two characters. Hugh handles combat and exploration, while Diana can hack enemy robots and expose their weak points. This dual-character mechanic is one of the game’s defining features.

Capcom also shared new gameplay footage alongside the date change. The trailer highlights new environments on the moon and introduces additional areas within the Shelter, a base where players can customize items and unlock bonuses.

The earlier launch comes after years of uncertainty. Pragmata was first revealed in 2020 and went through multiple delays before finally securing a firm 2026 release window.
