Many users reported that Roblox is not working on Windows 7, and this is expected after developers dropped support for Windows 7. However, there might be still a way to play the game, by following these steps.
What can I do if Roblox is not working on Windows 7?
1. Use an Android emulator
- Download and install an Android emulator that still works on Windows 7, such as Andy for example.
- Once you start the emulator, go to the Google Play Store.
- Search for Roblox and install it.
- Once installed, run it.
Keep in mind that this isnโt the most reliable method, since many emulators have dropped Windows 7 support.
2. Install Windows 10 or 11
- Back up all your important files from your C drive.
- Next, download Windows ISO using the Media Creation Tool.
- Use it to create a bootable USB flash drive.
- Boot your PC from the flash drive and follow the steps to install it.
This process is complicated, but we have explained in detail in our guide on how to install Windows 11 on a new PC, so check it out for more information.
Is Windows 7 supported by Roblox?
Roblox developers ended support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 in January 2025, meaning that these systems are no longer supported.
Can Roblox run on Windows 7 32-bit?
No, Roblox canโt run on any version of Windows 7 anymore as it currently supports only Windows 10 and 11.
Why can’t my PC run Roblox anymore?
If youโre using a legacy operating system, such as Windows 7 or 8, you should know that the developers have dropped support for these versions.
These are legacy systems that havenโt been maintained for years by Microsoft and developing and optimizing software for legacy systems with dwindling userbase requires a lot of resources, and this is why the company has decided to drop support.
If Roblox is not working on your Windows 7 PC, youโre out of options. You might be able to get it running on an Android emulator, but not many emulators still run on Windows 7. Instead, a better option would be to upgrade to Windows 10 or 11.
If you donโt want to switch, we have a guide on how to play Roblox on Windows 7 that might help you continue playing the game on Windows 7.
Even if youโre on a modern system, you might encounter issues, and we wrote a guide on what to do if Roblox is not launching, so donโt miss it.
