The GTA 6 marketing campaign could begin in August as Take-Two approaches the end of its previously announced summer 2026 window.

Take-Two has repeatedly said that the full promotional campaign for Grand Theft Auto 6 would start during summer 2026. With August now underway, Rockstar Games has only a few weeks remaining to meet that timeline.

Fans are still waiting for GTA 6 Trailer 3, an extended gameplay presentation, and more detailed information about the game’s world and features.

Rockstar Has Already Shared Several GTA 6 Updates

Rockstar and Take-Two have released important GTA 6 details in recent months, although none marked the start of a major marketing campaign.

GTA 6 pre-orders reportedly opened in June and have already passed $260 million.

The publisher also confirmed that the GTA 6 Standard Edition will cost $79.99. A more expensive Ultimate Edition will also be available.

Rockstar published a large collection of new screenshots alongside the recent announcements. However, the company did not release a third trailer or a full gameplay showcase.

GTA 6 Trailer 3 Could Arrive in August

Leaker NateTheHate suggested that the update players have been waiting for will arrive in due course during August.

The same source previously claimed that a fair bit of GTA 6 information would arrive during the month.

The comments have increased speculation that Rockstar could release GTA 6 Trailer 3 or begin a wider promotional campaign before August ends.

Take-Two may have always planned to start the campaign near the end of summer rather than immediately after June began. This approach would give Rockstar roughly three months to promote the game before its scheduled launch.

Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has confirmed the timing of the next trailer.

Take-Two Remains Confident in the November Release Date

Take-Two continues to support the GTA 6 release date of November 19, 2026.

The company has not indicated that another delay is planned. A move into the holiday season or 2027 therefore appears less likely, although another postponement cannot be ruled out completely.

Starting the marketing campaign in August would also strengthen confidence in the current launch schedule. A new trailer could introduce gameplay systems, locations, characters, and activities that Rockstar has not yet discussed publicly.

Take-Two Still Plans a Major Marketing Campaign

GTA 6 is expected to generate enormous attention regardless of how much advertising it receives.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has nevertheless told investors that the company still needs to market the game. Rockstar will therefore likely launch a substantial campaign before the November release.

The remaining summer window makes August the most likely period for the next major announcement. Until Rockstar confirms its plans, however, reports of an imminent trailer or gameplay showcase remain speculation.
