If your Sky Mini box is not working, you won’t be able to view any TV channels or content, and this can be a big problem since it will ruin your viewing experience.

Luckily, this is usually a minor issue, and it can be fixed in a matter of minutes, so today, we’ll show you the best solutions that you can use to address it.

Why is my Sky Mini box not working?

  • Temporary glitches can cause problems with the Sky Q Mini box.
  • Your device is not using a standard resolution.
  • Connectivity issues and Internet connection problems can interfere with your device.

How do I get my Sky box to work again?

1. Disconnect the Sky box from the power outlet

  1. Turn the device off by pressing the Standby button.
  2. Now, disconnect the power cable from the power source. You can also disconnect the HDMI cable.
  3. Keep it like that for about a minute or two.
  4. Connect the electrical cable again and start the device.

It might take up to 5 minutes for the device to fully boot and for all features to return.

2. Force it to use the standard resolution

  1. Make sure that your Sky box is running.
  2. On your remote, press Home 1 0 8 0 Home.
  3. Check if the problem is resolved.

This will force the device to use standard resolution and help if you get a No signal message.

3. Perform a network reset

  1. On Mini Home, navigate to Settings.
  2. Select Setup and choose Network.
  3. Once Network settings open, select Reset button on the right side.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to restore wireless connection settings to default.
  5. This will restore the default settings for your network and reset your IP address configuration.

If the Sky Mini box is not working after a power cut or you’re getting a red light, that’s most likely a temporary glitch that can be fixed with a quick power reset or resetting your network connection. Alternatively, you can use an Ethernet cable for direct connection and check if that solves the issue.
