The season’s upon us, and the world’s favorite white beard is preparing for taking off. As you probably know, Santa always knows what you’re doing, and whether you were a good boy or girl this year. But did you know you can keep track of what Santa’s up to, as well?

Best apps to track Santa’s journey

1. Track Santa by NORAD

North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) keeps track of Santa for years. And they’re keen to share the results of their research with people worldwide.

In that manner, NORAD has launched a unique service called Track Santa. The Santa tracker is available on NORAD’s official website, as well as all major platforms, including Windows 10.

Santa takes off December 24th, on the Christmas Eve. But NORAD allows you to keep your eye on Santa’s village way before. When you visit NORAD’s website, or download the Windows 10 app, you’ll find yourself in Santa’s village, where you can get busy doing different holiday activities.

You can watch videos about Santa Claus, read interesting stories, listen to Christmas music, and more. And when the big day finally comes, you’ll be able to watch every Santa’s move. The journey will start from the North Pole, and won’t stop until Santa delivers all the gifts.

NORAD has been tracking Santa since 1955, but it all started accidentally. It all begun when a local advertisement directed kids to call Santa directly.

However, the phone number was misprinted, and kids ended up calling the Crew Commander on duty at the Continental Air Defense Command Operations Center. And, that’s how this great idea was born.

You can download NORAD Santa Tracker from the Windows Store, it’s completely free. Or you can follow Kris Kringle directly from your web browser, by visiting NORAD’s official website.

UPDATE: The NORAD Santa Tracker app is no longer available in the Microsoft Store. However, you can still access its content by visiting NORAD’s official website.

2. Where is Santa – Santa Tracker

Where is Santa - Santa Tracker

Fortunately, we found another useful Windows 10 app to track Santa Claus with. With the help of this app, you can follow Santa’s every move at any time — not just near Christmas.

Simply launch a scan and you’ll receive a dynamic report of Santa’s location and activities. Moreover, based on your location, the app will also tell you when Santa should arrive at your house.

The sophisticated system will also display both locations of Santa and Yourself. On top of that, it also finds out the estimated Santa’s arrival time with a counting down timer.
