Bits are virtual goods you can use on Twitch. With this currency, you can do various things on the streaming platform, such as sending Cheers.

While this is a great feature, quite a few users encountered a specific problem: Twitch bits are not showing up. Being unable to see (and use) Bits could be a major issue for some people. One user reported the following:

Hey guys – I recently got a 1000 bit donation last night on my stream. The weird thing is, the donation hasn’t appeared on my Twitch account yet. […]  I actually have known the guy who donated all of that for a while now and consider him a friend. So it isn’t a fake donation, I just don’t know what to do or if my next step should be contacting Twitch Support.

So, the OP received Bits from a trustworthy user. Therefore, this can’t be a fake donation. Still, the 1.000 Bits don’t appear on Twitch.

Luckily, there are some explanations and solutions to this problem. Today we will show you what to do if the Twitch bits are not showing up.

What are Twitch bits?

By Twitch Bits we are referring to a currency donated to streamers by viewers. Usually, these are rewards to thank them for their work.

Basically, Bits are animated cheering emotes that you send in the chat. These are some of the most valuable ways to support your favorite streamers and broadcasters.

Accumulating over time (through purchasing or watching free online adverts), users are able to donate their Cheer Bits whilst watching live streams.

Now, let’s see what you can do if the Twitch bits are not showing up?

What can I do if Twitch bits are not showing up?

1. Wait a little bit longer

Bits may not appear immediately after a donation. So, you have to wait at least 24 hours for the transaction to take effect.

Twitch users won't encounter any issues ever again:

Your favorite streaming platform may give you hard times when encountering various errors. You can avoid all those problems and enjoy every stream by using Opera GX - the only browser with Twitch integration.

Opera GX has some excellent features like the optimization for Twitch app, sidebar notifications with your favorite streamers, and a built-in VPN so you could change the servers and access Twitch from another location with another IP.

2. Check your revenues

  1. Press on the Windows key, type Twitch, and open the app, or simply go to the Twitch official page.
  2. First, make sure that you are logged in with your Twitch credentials. If not, enter them, then click on Log In.
  3. Open the Twitch payout dashboard.
  4. Check out Revenues.

To make sure you received the Bits, check out the Revenues tab.

How can I buy Twitch bits?

You can easily get bits from the Twitch app, by clicking on the Get Bits button.

Users usually buy Bits using Amazon Payments or PayPal. After registration with Twitch, you can add either option as a payment method and then purchase your Bits.

Keep in mind that they are available in 100, 500, 1000, 1500, 5000, 10000, and 25000 amounts. Each bit package corresponds to a cash amount that varies slightly, depending on exchange rates.

Bits are crucial for every serious Twitch user. Therefore, any issue affecting them is quite significant.

Still, things may not be as scary as they seem. Wait for a little longer and make sure you use the best browser (UR Browser, that is) for Twitch!
