Ubisoft released Assassins Creed Windows 11 24H2 patches for Valhalla and Origins

As we’ve reported recently, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed titles have suffered greatly due to the Windows 11 24H2 update. Many titles from the series couldn’t run on Microsoft’s new OS version and that created a lot of steam around this subject.

The nightmare has ended, at least for some of the fans because Ubisoft announced new patches for Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in a Reddit post.

The patches are 230MB for Assassin’s Creed Origins and 500MB for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, so make sure you’ve got enough space on your drive.

All this is great because now you can upgrade your OS to Windows 11 24H2 if you haven’t done that yet. However, the Reddit thread was soon populated with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey gamers because probably the most popular title in the series was left behind.

Also, some of the users reported that even after applying the patch, their game wasn’t running:

Valhalla won’t start anymore. I have it through Game Pass. I’ve logged back into Ubisoft Connect, but nothing happens. I’ve also verified the files for errors, but none were found, one user reported on Ubisoft’s Reddit thread.

If your Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed titles still don’t work after the update, we recommend fully reinstalling the game and also making sure that your OS is up to date.

Even though at the end of last year Microsoft recommended the gamers to upgrade to Windows 11, if you haven’t installed the 24H2 update yet, you should hold on just a little bit more until all these problems are sorted out. We’re still waiting for an Auto HDR feature fix in 24H2 for the public channel.

Can you run Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Origins? Let us know in the comments below.
