Windows 11 24H2 Celeron

As you might already know, Microsoft finally released Windows 11 24H2 a few days ago. The long-awaited annual patch brings dozens of new features and AI capabilities to Windows 11, which might seem like a lot for any modern PC/laptop.

However, as this Reddit user proved, you can install Windows 11 24H2 on a 10-year-old Intel Celeron and not only get away with it but also run it smoothly on such an old device.

The user bypassed the TPM 2.0 mandatory requirement and installed Windows 11 on the device a while ago. They kept downloading updates, and they were stunned to find out that the latest 24H2 Patch actually improved Windows 11’s performance.

performance experience increased! atleast in my experience. opening explorer is a lot quicker (opens in one click no hesitation: same ssd cuz i never reinstalled), scrolling through chrome is smoother and playing youtube videos loads faster (i always watch on 1080 btw)… overall ui smoothness increased.

on very lowend unsupported devices, windows 11 24h2 definitely gives a performance increased in terms of ui experience and its smoother.

As the user continues, you can play cloud and source games on an Intel Celeron device with Windows 11 24H2 as your primary operating system.

Whoever said those old Intel Celeron PCs are obsolete by now should take it back. If you have such a device, maybe you should put it to the test and let us know if it works.

See the Reddit thread for more details.
