XBOX Cozy Collection Is Now Live With New 8BitDo, SteelSeries, and KontrolFreek Gear

If you have been wanting a more cozy and playful gaming setup, Xbox has just dropped something that may catch your eye. The Designed for Xbox Cozy Collection is now live, and it flaunts a softer look to gaming setups with new themed gear from 8BitDo, SteelSeries and KontrolFreek.

Xbox gets a seriously cozy gaming makeover

Microsoft is leaning into the cozy gaming trend with hardware built around playful colors and woodland-inspired designs. The collection includes the 8BitDo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard in Forest Wonder. It packs RGB lighting, programmable Super Buttons, Kailh tactile switches and an independent control panel.

The matching Retro R8 Mouse adds four programmable side buttons and a charging dock. Both devices share the same Forest Wonder styling. For controller fans, the 8BitDo Ultimate 3 arrives in Mossy Lagoon. It includes adjustable joystick tension, improved grip, a wireless charging dock and support for Xbox, PC and mobile devices.

The setup goes beyond keyboards and controllers

SteelSeries is also joining the collection with Arctis GameBuds in Matcha and Yuzu. The earbuds offer Active Noise Cancellation, Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity. They also support 360-degree Spatial Audio and more than 200 audio presets through the Arctis Companion App. Battery life reaches 40 hours with the charging case.

KontrolFreek rounds things out with its No-Slip Thumb Grips in the Xbox Cozy Edition colors. The grips use GripTek material and an ergonomic design for longer sessions. The collection targets players who want their setup to feel more relaxed and personal.

That being said, it appears the cozy aesthetic is doing more than changing colors. Microsoft is packaging several popular accessory categories into one recognizable theme.

The full Designed for Xbox Cozy Collection is available now, although pricing varies between products and regions. Speaking of collections, Microsift also recently announced the limited-edition X25 series console and a matching Xbox controller to celebrate Xbox’s 25th anniversary.
