XBOX Game Pass August 2026 Wave 2 Includes 10 New Games

XBOX Game Pass August 2026 is getting a second wave of releases, with Microsoft adding 10 games between August 18 and September 1. The lineup includes several Game Pass Premium additions and a major day-one release later this month.

More than 30 XBOX games are already coming to the platform this week, but Microsoft has now confirmed another batch for Game Pass. As PureXbox reports, the second August wave includes releases across console, PC, and cloud.

10 games are joining XBOX Game Pass

The new additions start on August 18 and continue through September 1. Several games already available through other Game Pass tiers will also become available to Game Pass Premium subscribers.

August 19 brings three additions, making it the busiest day in the second Game Pass wave.

August 20

Starsand Island joins Game Pass Premium just two days after the second wave begins.

August 25

Microsoft then adds two more games on August 25, including another title for Premium subscribers.

August 27

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy stands out as the major day-one addition in Microsoft’s second August lineup.

Rather than adding an older release to the catalog later, Microsoft will make the game available through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass when it launches on August 27.

August 31

Young Suns closes out August with another addition to the Premium catalog.

September 1

Shelldiver technically arrives in September, but Microsoft has included it as part of this second Game Pass announcement.

Five games are leaving XBOX Game Pass

The new additions also arrive as Microsoft prepares to remove several games from the service.

Five games are leaving XBOX Game Pass on August 31, giving subscribers limited time to play them through the service before they disappear from the catalog.

Microsoft also has more XBOX news expected later this month. XBOX is reportedly hiding a “pretty big surprise” for Gamescom, although the rumored announcement has not yet been confirmed.
