Xbox Leadership Shuffle: Xavier Pokorzynsk to Reportedly Replace Tim Stuart as CFO
Stuart will reportedly join ZeniMax Media as COO
Xbox has had a turbulent 2025, but it’s coming to an end. The gaming division of Microsoft is hopeful about a big 2026, with multiple things planned. And, according to an exclusive report by Windows Central, it seems one of them is a leadership shakeup.
Per the report, Tim Stuart, the current chief financial officer (CFO) of Microsoft Gaming, will take up a new role as chief operating officer (COO) of ZeniMax Media. For those unaware, that’s the publisher behind Bethesda’s biggest franchises, including Fallout and more. Stuart’s transition is reportedly set to take effect in January 2026.
Meanwhile, Xavier Pokorzynsk, who currently serves as corporate vice president within the division, will replace Stuart as the new CFO. In the new role, Pokorzynsk will likely oversee the financial operations of Xbox during a period reportedly full of massive releases.
With Tim Stuart moving to ZeniMax, Xbox is signaling its intent to bring experienced leadership to Bethesda’s publishing operations while also ensuring that the core Xbox division remains financially and operationally prepared for what could be a landmark year for gaming.
Xbox already quietly teased its January 2026 Developer Direct, where fans can expect updates on first-party titles, including Fable and Forza Horizon 6. That’s not all; the company also has plans for bringing first-party handhelds.
