Yahoo Finance App for Windows 8, 10 Adds SSL & Gets Rid of Ads
The official Yahoo! Finance app for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 users is available in the Windows Store as a free download and is one of the best financial apps to have in your portfolio when it comes to money management and financial news.
I have been using the Yahoo! Finance web tools for quite a while now and whenever I wanted to quickly check how a certain stock was performing or how the shares of a tech company were behaving after an important announcement, I always landed on Yahoo’s web page. Now that an official app has been made available in the Windows Store, naturally, I downloaded it on my Windows 8.1 laptop and tablet and started relying on it.
Yahoo Finance Windows 8 app no comes advertisement-free
Recently, the Windows 8 Yahoo Finance app has received an important update in the Windows Store which gets rid of all the advertisements that were previously featured inside the application. This is a nice improvement and all of you who find in-app ads annoying will enjoy the update. Also, Yahoo! has switched all traffic to use SSL endpoints, so now your connections are very secure and you don’t need to worry about your safety.
Other bug squashes and performance improvements, as always, have been put in place. You can have a look at the above video to see how the official Yahoo! Finance app behaves on the Windows 8.1 platform. Then follow the link from below to download and install it on your devices.
