windows 11 date time

Although Microsoft released Windows 11 24H2 in October last year, the major patch was full of bugs at release, with many users experiencing issues with an Internet connection, Auto HDR, and many more. An entire list of bugs has been reported on this Windows version.

Microsoft fixed some of them, such as the Auto HDR, a couple of weeks ago. The Redmond-based tech giant finally fixed a bug that prevented regular Windows 11 users from changing their Date and Time in Settings without admin rights.

The issue, which had been going on for weeks, caused Windows 11 only to allow those with admin rights to make the changes.

However, Microsoft fixed it with the release of the latest KB5050094:

[Settings] New! You can change time zones in Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time. You don’t have to be an admin to make this change.

KB5050094 is optional, however, its new fixes will be introduced to all Windows 11 users with the release of the February 2025 Patch Tuesday updates, later this week.
