Key notes
- Many users reported the trick worked, but many said it didn’t.
- It seems that the whole thing is a game of luck.
- If you try it, take it with a pinch of salt, or better, activate your Windows through official means.
There is some exciting news coming from Windows users. It seems that some users tried to trick ChatGPT into generating Windows activation keys, and apparently, it works. The AI tool is giving away a lot of Windows activation keys as if they are nothing.
This Twitter user was one of the first who tried it, and they tried it for almost every Windows version and it works.
It seems that ChatGPT is more capable of disclosing potentially sensitive information than we know it. The information is not exactly fraudulent, as the Windows activation keys follow a pattern that can be easily replicated.
But ChatGPT is capable of giving you Windows activation keys for every Windows version: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11. It’s not giving you just one, but several, and you can try each one until one of them works. If it doesn’t, then you can try again. Basically, it’s an endless river of Windows activation keys.
Is it fair, or is it not? We’re not really sure, but the real question is: do they really work?
Can ChatGPT really generate valid Windows activation keys?
Well, you’ll find it hard to believe, but according to some users, yes, it can. ChatGPT can generate valid Windows activation keys.
On this Reddit thread, a lot of users reported that it worked for them. From 8 keys, one of them worked, and many other users soon shared their screenshots of the result. On Twitter, several users also reported that it worked for them
While another user is sharing the excellent news of Windows activation.
Apparently, it can also provide keys for upgrading Windows. Many users upgraded their Windows 10 and 11 to the Pro edition with ChatGPT-generated Windows activation keys.
The truth is, there is no guarantee this trick will work. It seems to be a game of luck for many. As mentioned earlier, ChatGPT can generate as many Windows activation keys as you want, but in the end, just one will work.
However, no one knows how long will it take for ChatGPT to stop generating activation keys. It’s always nice to give it a shot, true. But you might want to activate it on Microsoft’s terms, you know. Just to be safe.
You should know that upgrading to Windows 11 is free but you may run into the you need to activate windows before you can personalize your pc especially if you make hardware changes. You should only check to see if your PC meets the requirements, but you can actually get it for free.
So while ChatGPT seems fun to try, take it with a pinch of salt. Fun things that won’t hurt anyone include editing images with DALL-E.
