Slack interactive screen sharing

Slack began its experience with messaging services and later, its developers added audio, video calls, and finally screen sharing. Now, the team at Slack revealed its latest feature: an improved screen sharing feature with interactive capabilities.

Sharing your screen with Slack

In order to share your screen with other users with Slack, click the Share control of your screen button during your Slack call. This way, all participants will receive their very own cursor along with the ability to type, edit, scroll, and click through the contents of the shared screen.

Participants limited to just viewing the screen can be included as well and can temporarily draw over the shared screen. For instance, if they want to point out a particular mistake made in an Excel cell, they can just draw over that specific cell to bring everyone’s attention to it.

To be able to share the control of a screen, though, a paid Slack plan is required and the latest version of the deskltop app must be downloaded.
